Wilma DeLorme Jans, 80, of Bozeman, passed away October 21, 2013 in Bozeman, 10 days after her 80th birthday. She was born October 11, 1933 to Louis DeLorme and Dorothy Aldous in Havre, Montana. Her father died when she was young and she moved to many places in Montana with her mother, sister and brother. They settled in Bozeman when her mother married Alfred Faber. There Mom met Jerome 'Bud' Jans and they were married on December 31, 1955. They were blessed with four daughters, Gloria, Brenda, Rita and Bonita. Mom was proud of serving the first soft-serve ice cream cone in Montana. She loved to bowl and earned many pins and patches. She loved to sew and made the girls many outfits. She also made quilts for the grandkids. Most of all she loved her family and did everything she could to help them. When she retired as a cook at MSU her new hobby became shopping. She would go to stores to get ideas, deals and her daily exercise of walking all the aisles. Her favorite place to shop was QVC. She got many a great deal for herself and everyone in the family. Mom was preceded in death by her husband, Bud, father Louis, mother Dorothy, step-father Al, sister Theresa, brother Ron and grandson Sean Faber. Mom is survived by her daughters, Gloria (Joe) Strickland, Brenda Jans, Rita (Mark) Johnson, Bonita Jans, and son, Larry (Adri) Faber. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was loved and will be missed. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday November 1, 2013 at Dahl Funeral Chapel in Bozeman. A reception will follow at the American Legion Club.
