William "Willie" Henry Fahrman

William “Willie” Henry Fahrman, 70, of Bozeman passed away August 5, 2018, due to brain cancer.



Willie was born October 28, 1947 in Great Falls, MT. He lived for the first 6 years in Black Eagle (across the river). He moved back to Great Falls to attend and graduate from public schools. Willie was an Eagle Scout and very proud to be one. He graduated from high school in 1966 with gold letters in football, wrestling and track. Willie played in the East/West Shrine Game in 1966 and he also played for the MSU Bobcats, he was a defensive tackle #75, he was a student at MSU until he enlisted into the US Army in 1971 through 1973. He graduated from MSU with a degree in recreation area management. He married in 1972 and later divorced.



Willie was the manager of the Hide-a-way Lounge for 40 years, he also worked at Little John’s for L. J.



Willie and Esther met at the Hide-a-way and spent 35 wonderful years together.



Willie retired in 2016, he loved the cabin and “Viva Las Vegas”. Sitting on the deck watching the wildlife at the cabin and smoking a “good cigar” was most enjoyable.



Willie was a man of few words but loved his family and all the grandkids. He was a true Bobcat and never missed a home football game. GO CATS!!!!.



He was preceded in death by his parents William and Ruth Fahrman of Great Falls.



Survivors include his wife Esther Scott of Bozeman; two daughters Lindsey (Tom) Hartley, and Shannon (Mike) Williams both of Helena, MT; three sisters Luana (Butch) Sturtz of Great Falls, Marilyn (Steve) Parish of Cotati, CA, and Donna (Gary) Allison of Great Falls; and many grandchildren.



Willie says, “Good Day” to all his many, many friends and his much-loved family and “GO Bears!!”.
