William Steven Hendershott, 62, of Bozeman, Montana passed peacefully into the presence of our Lord Jesus at Aurora Saint Luke’s Medical Center, in Milwaukee, WI surrounded by family February 15, 2016. He was born July 1st 1953, in Bozeman, Montana, to William Francis and Mary (Koerber) Hendershott.
He served our country’s Army from 1973 to 1975 then began a lifelong career as a railroad Engineer until he retired in 2004. He enjoyed numerous outdoor activities and in retirement volunteered 8 years for the U.S. Forest Service tending to the Beaver Head National Forest in Polaris, Montana and Custer Gallatin National Forest outside of Big Timber, Montana fulfilling his dream of caring for God’s creation.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Joyce Fletcher and daughter Andrea Kathleen and son Ian Samuel Hendershott; his sisters, Kathy Dow of Waukesha, WI and Karen Ridder of Hales Corners, WI and aunts, uncles, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Bill’s life will be held on at 11 a.m. Saturday April, 9th, 2016 at Dahl Funeral Chapel, followed by interment of his urn at Sunset Hills Cemetery, with military honors.
