William Jupka

William ‘Bill’ Jupka, October 11, 1920-September 7, 2016

William Jupka was born in Stockett, Montana on October 11, 1920 to Vasko and Mary (Butchko) Jupka. He met and married the love of his life, Jeannine Cuny, in France while serving in the 36th Armored Infantry Regiment during WWII. He received a Bronze Star, Combat Infantry Badge and theatre of operation ribbons. They had two sons, Jimmy and Richard.

William retired from the position of outdoor maintenance foreman for the Great Falls School District and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and home renovation. He lived in Stockett for the first five years of his live, at which time, his family returned to Czechoslovakia (now the Slovak Republic or Slovakia). He grew up there until the age of 19, when he returned to the US. He lived in New Jersey until going into the Army, and service in WWII. Upon discharge in 1946 he returned to Great Falls.



He is predeceased by his parents, Vasko and Mary Jupka, his wife Jeannine, son Richard, and siblings Mary (Kravcisin) Mainard, Theodore Jupka, Michael Jupka, and Joseph Jupka.

He is survived by son Jimmy (Catherine) Jupka, grand and greatgrandchildren Suzanne (Matthew) Stone, Nicholas and Nathan; Jonathan (Amber) Jupka, Edward and Elliot; and Daniel Jupka; his sister, Ann Boris; his sisters-in-law Leah and Ann Jupka, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 10 am at Hillcrest Lawn Chapel in Great Falls, Montana, followed by a committal service at the columbarium at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Great Falls.
