William Bill Weifenback

July 31, 1916 — November 20, 2016

William (Bill) Weifenbach died on November 20, 2016 surrounded by friends and family. He was born in Rockland , Il. July 31, 1916 and resided for most of his childhood in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.



He was a WWII veteran teaching radar as a new technology for the air force.



Bill attended the University of Wisconsin on the GI bill. His studies began a lifelong interest in philosophy. He went on to teach philosophy throughout his life settling at Union College in Schenectady NY where he was Dean of Graduate Studies.



He was preceded in death by his former wives and friends, Phyllis Weifenbach and Dolores Rena Weifenbach and his brother Rich Weifenbach.



He loved and was known at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Bozeman finding many friends there. Bill was a passionate learner and teacher. His incessant curiosity was an inspiration for his family and friends right up into his last days.



He leaves his children, Sarah Weifenbach (Chuck) Steen, Terri Weifenbach, Mark (Maggie) Felthousen, and his five grandchildren; Kyle, Hudson and Davis Steen, and Michael and Benjamin Felthousen.
