Wayne Bennett Albright, 63, of Manhattan passed away on Sunday February 22, 2009 after sharing a peaceful evening with his sweetheart, Anne. Wayne was born on April 8, 1945 in Harvey, Illinois. His family moved to Canada when he was a child, and he grew up in Calgary. Wayne graduated high school in Illinois, and later graduated college from Louisiana State University. He started as a radio personality at the age of 15. He spent 30 years as a disc jockey all over the world, most recently in Bellingham, Washington promoting Canadian artists. Wayne moved to Big Sky in 2004 and worked in the dining room at Lone Mountain Ranch. He also worked part-time as a disc jockey in Whitehall. Wayne met the love of his life through a senior personal ad that read, #8220;If you like old men and old music, answer this add.#8221; He and Anne Herrick were married on October 15, 2005 in Bozeman. They had four wonderful years together. The two of them worked together at the Holiday Inn and traveled, enjoying Montana, and especially ghost towns. He enjoyed reading and flying kites, which he also made. He loved radio, and had made peace with Hoppe Kat, Anne#8217;s old cat, with Cheerio#8217;s and peaches. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Anne Albright; Anne#8217;s children, Judy (fianc Jim Doyle) Sanderson of Bozeman, and Barry (Rochelle) Zentz of Park City, UT; and grandchildren, Allannah, Sabrina, Jarvis, and Dorothy. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Wayne#8217;s life will be held at a later date. Memorials in Wayne#8217;s name may be made to KGLT, SUB Rm 374, MSU-Bozeman, Bozeman, MT 59717, because Wayne is now dancing with Buddy Holly.
