Virginia Moss, 86, of Bozeman passed away June 22, 2008. She was born July 14, 1922 in Rock Springs, Wyoming to Casimiro and Aniseta (Apriz)Larrabaster. She grew up in Rock Springs, where she graduated high school. From there, she attended Mercy Hospital in Denver, Colorado, graduating in 1943 with an RN degree. She worked as a Health Nurse in Sweetwater County, Wyoming. August 16, 1947 Virginia married her High School Sweetheart Martin E. Moss, After his return from service in World War II. After Martin's graduation from the University of Wyoming school of Engineering they moved to Afghanistan where he taught. While in Afghanistan they traveled throughout many parts of the world and and saw things and places that have changed forever. Beirut Lebanon being one that Virginia thought stood out. She and Martin also visited the Basque region of Spain. She loved Spanish guitar and opera, as well as cooking. She enjoyed being outdoors, taking pleasure in gardening, hunting and fishing. Virginia was very proud of her Basque heritage, and took to studying Basque history. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband and infant child,her parents, and eight siblings. She is survived by one sister, Elvira #8220;Beada#8221; Larrabaster Holt of San Francisco, CA. Two nephews who lived with her in Bozeman, Frank(Vianna)Larrabaster and their 2 children Evan and Garrett of Manhattan, MT. Joe Larrabaster of Seattle, WA. Several nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at Resurrection Parish Catholic Church.
