Virginia 'Ginger' Lichterowicz

Virginia “Ginger” Lichterowicz, 60, of Livingston, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2012 at her home. She was born May 2, 1951 in Lynwood, CA. She is a daughter to Hayes and Daisy (Dickerson) Luna. Ginger graduated from Mt Miguel High School, and later from San Diego State University with almost a Masters Degree in Education. She served our country as an officer in the United States Army from 1976 to 1979. Following her honorable discharge she taught for a short time at a Parochial school in San Diego. She married Michael Lichterowicz in 1989. They lived in San Diego for several years, after which they moved to Boise, Idaho for a few years. Next they came to Bozeman, and lived there before finally settling in Livingston in 1999. Ginger had always wanted to be a Sociologist; her greatest pleasure was helping others and getting to know them. She just knew how to relate to people, and put them at ease. She touched people with her heart. Her favorite past time was good conversation combined with good food. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include; her husband Michael residing in Livingston; her brother Don Luna of San Jose, CA; two sisters, Elaine Barryman of Orange County, CA and Lois Luna of Seattle, WA; and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be made in her name to Livingston Health Care Hospice, 504 S. 13th St., Livingston, MT 59047.
