Timothy Lynn Werth

June 21, 1956 — August 3, 2016

Timothy L. Werth, 60 of Bozeman died after losing his battle with cancer on August 3, 2016 at home surrounded by his family. He was born June 21, 1956 in Pontiac, Michigan to Vern & Mary (Miller) Werth, along with his brothers: Larry, Andrew and Stephen. "Big Tim" (as he was known to many) came to Montana to attend college at Western Montana College in Dillon. He was drawn to the mountains of western Montana where he loved to ski, ride the Gold Wing and anything that had to do with the great Montana Outdoors. Kristen said it best, "we would run into Tim all over the place....Targhee, Big Sky, Bridger, on some dirt road in Pony! Always on an adventure and always with a big smile."

Tim worked three jobs a lot of the time. Most recently he was a custodian at Bridger Bowl, Cardinal Distributing and at the Running Elk. He continued to work even though his health was failing. "Big Tim" considered his work place more of his family and he will be remembered for his sincere zest for life.

He was preceded in death by his father Vern Werth and by his step-father that raised him, John Sherby.

Tim is survived by his mother Mary Sherby of Rochester, Michigan; his brothers Larry Werth of Bozeman; Andrew (Jenny) Sherby of Michigan; Stephen Sherby of Rochester, Michigan; Also his nieces Katie (James) Johnson of Beresford, S.D; Hannah Sherby of Michigan and Orrin Werth of Gallatin Gateway and his great nieces, Emma, Morgan and Harper Johnson of Beresford, SD.

The Bigin's zest for life and smile will be missed by all who knew him.

Cremation has taken place in the care of Dahl Funeral Chapel . Private family services will be conducted at a later date.
