Tom was born in New York to Frances and Anthony Daiello. He spent his early childhood in
New York. The family moved to Hartford, Connecticut at the time of WWII. After attending school, he was called to duty for the Korean War. After serving in Germany and returning home, he pursued a career in the automobile business as the owner of the first Datsun Franchise in New England (West Hartford). Tom left the cold winters and moved to Naples, Florida. Retirement was not for him so he delved into real estate and became a developer building condos and homes for several years.
Tom left the Naples area with his wife and settled in Lecanto, Florida becoming home owners and members at Black Diamond Ranch Country Club.
Tom’s love of fishing brought them to Montana for the summers. After four years outside
Missoula as snow birds, Bozeman caught their eyes and heart. They purchased a home near and
joined Valley View Country Club. After several years of making the long drive between MT and FL, they became permanent residents of Bozeman.
Tom loved his golf and was an avid fly fisherman. Tying flies and traveling to other states and countries to fulfill this hobby. He often said, “I don’t care if I catch anything, it’s just so beautiful and peaceful to be here in God’s country.”
Tom is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Patricia Stetson, and brother Jerome
Daiello.
He is survived by his wife Marty of Bozeman, MT, son Mark Daiello of Naples, FL and sister
Marcel Rice of Vernon, CT.
