Terrance Lyle "Terry" Bilges

Terrance Lyle “Terry” Bilges of Bozeman passed peacefully on December 22, 2019. He was born to John and Ruby Bilges on December 7, 1943 in New England, North Dakota. He was the ninth of ten children.



Terry graduated high school in 1963 from Minneapolis Vocational High School. He was a standout athlete in Basketball, Football, and Baseball. His love for all things sports was well known. He truly shined on the baseball or softball diamond, playing for over 50 years and later umpiring. He was a lifelong Minnesota Vikings and Twins fan.



He worked as a city utilities worker for most of his working life in Baker and Bozeman, MT. He was a volunteer firefighter in Baker and a Forest Service firefighter for a few years.



He is survived by sons Mark (Trish) Bilges of Brooklyn Center, MN; Joshua Bilges of Bozeman; Ryan (Stephanie) Bilges of Denver, CO; and daughter Ruby of Lewistown, MT; six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. He is preceded in death by both parents; sisters Verna, Bonnie, and Bonita; brothers Jerome and Roland; and son Scott.



Known to have a heart of gold and willing to help anybody he could, he will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Life will be held on a later date.
