Sue was born to Tim and Delores McAllister on January 6, 1956. She attended school in Dillon, MT, and furthered her education by attending and graduating from the Helena Vocational Technical Center. She met Ken Mergenthaler, and they married March 10, 1979.
Sue is preceded in death by her husband, Ken; her parents; and a sister, Anita Bum. Surviving Sue are sisters Zella Meschke, and Shirley Hilton Burton; her brother, Timothy McAllister; and Chief, her Boston Terrier.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 20, 2024, at the Eastgate Volunteer Fire Department, 3895 Buttercup Street, East Helena, MT. Visitation will be available beginning at 1:00 p.m., with the service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Following the service, Sue will be laid to rest next to her loving husband at the East Helena Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Sue's honor to the Eastgate Fire Department. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.dahlcares.com.
