Susan Houser

Susan Zook Houser, 79, of Bozeman, MT, passed away unexpectedly on June 12, 2023, with her loving husband, Steve, by her side. She was born to Peter and Louise (Gilliard) Zook on September 30, 1943, in Los Angeles, CA. Susan graduated with a bachelor’s degree from USC. She worked at a law office for several years, before finding her calling as a home healthcare medical assistant. Susan loved spending time at the lake – any lake – as long as she could fish! She was somewhat competitive about her fishing and very skilled at the craft, to the point of being known in some circles as “The Fish Whisperer”. Susan is survived by and will be greatly missed by her adoring husband, Steve. No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers or meals, contributions in Susan’s honor are suggested to the Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter, 1549 E. Cameron Bridge Rd., Bozeman, 59718; or just spend a day at your favorite lake, fishing.
