Steven Robert Stewart

Steven Robert Stewart lost his courageous battle with cancer Sunday, July 28th at his home in Belgrade Montana surrounded by his family and friends. Steve was born October 13, 1951 in Lewistown Montana to Harold Stewart and Nadine (Brooks) Stewart. He lived in Lewistown until he joined the Army in 1970. He served in the Army from 1970-1973. After the army he returned to Lewistown to marry his wife of 38 years, Norma (Johnson) Stewart on November 30, 1974. They moved to Bozeman, Montana shortly after and raised their two daughters Jamie and Tonya. Steve worked in Bozeman as an auto body technician for the local Ford dealership for 25 years. He loved to laugh and help others in any way he could. He also loved to tell stories particularly about his many hunting adventures in the Snowy Mountains with his brother, Gary Stewart and father, Harold. Steve is survived by his wife, Norma of Bozeman, daughters Jamie (Austin) Norton of Boise Idaho, Tonya (Bryan) Duffy of Billings, grandson Roman Duffy of Billings, his brother Gary (Sandy) Stewart of Lewistown, sisters Francis (Clarence) Crook, Lois (Clifford) Wilber, and Sheila (Dale) Berg of Lewistown, and his many nephews and nieces. Steve was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be held at 2 pm August 3rd, 2013 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses 5590 Jackrabbit Lane Belgrade Montana. Reception to follow at Best Western Plus/Grand Tree Inn 1325 N 7th Avenue, Bozeman Montana. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.dahlcares.com.
