Steven John Brennan, 61, of Bozeman, Montana passed away Thursday, February 24, 2011. Steve was born September 22, 1949 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Gerald and Mary Brennan. He was raised in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, where he attended Grand Rapids High School. Following high school, he became a professional carpet layer. He married Joan Samuelson and together, they moved to Bozeman, quickly making it their home. The couple was blessed with the birth of their daughter, Amanda Jo. Steve cherished Mandy, whom he affectionately referred to as #8220;Bug#8221; and #8220;Peanut#8221;. He loved living in Big Sky country, was an avid hunter and fisherman, and made many lifelong friends wherever he went. Steve was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his daughter, Amanda (Brian) Cornelius of Andover, MN; grandchildren, Carissa and Luke Cornelius; sisters, Peggy Brennan of Grand Rapids, Kathleen (Larry) Brennan-Glynn and Jeri Rafinski, both of Tucson, AZ; nieces and nephews, Todd (Laura) Schwartz of Minneapolis, MN, Tina (John) Asadoorian of Great Falls, VA, Tammy (William) Noll of Lakeway, TX, and Travis Trautman of Minneapolis; great-niece Greta and great-nephew Augustus; and former wife Joan Brennan of Minneapolis. Services will be held at a later date. Memorials in Steve#8217;s name may be made to the Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter, PO Box 11390, Bozeman, MT 59719.
