~ Eulogy to Pepere Stan from Maddie ~
I first want to extend my gratitude to the
Attendees who came to honor this
amazing man, Stanley Brown whom we
have all come to Love and Cherish.
Some of you know him as a friend or mentor
and as a husband. I have been privileged
to know him as my grandfather, or better
known as “Pepere” Stan.
Although he is not my biological grand-
parent, he took the role on so selflessly.
He is the only grandfather I have ever known.
He was a very smart man and he did all he
could for me and for that, I will always admire
him and I can only hope that one day I can
accomplish at least half of what he has in
his lifetime. As I stand here today, I want to
reflect on some of my fondest memories of
My Pepere….
I had a loose tooth that needed to be pulled.
Pepere got the plyers and sat in a chair. He
called out to me and said he was ready to
pull it. I got on my hands and knees and ran
around the chair shouting “No, No”.. of course
he wasn’t going to pull out my tooth but it was
fun to play along with him like this.
He would always ask me how I was and I would
Reply “Good”..! Then he’d say: “Good for what”?
Pepere we are going to miss you. You will always
Be in our hearts. I wish my little girl could have met
You.
I love you always and forever,
Your granddaughter Madison
