Shauna Cudney

Shauna Marie Cudney, 51, was born March 12, 1959, in Castro Valley, Calif., to David and Shirley Cudney. Being the daughter of Navy/Coast Guard parents, she lived a rather nomadic childhood in California, New Jersey and Delaware. In 1976, the family moved to Bozeman, where she completed her high school education in 1977. Shauna was a charmer and brought sunshine to everyone she met as a waitress, customer service representative and certified nursing assistant. Her special love was enriching the lives of the elderly she cared for. On holidays and birthdays, she delighted in surprising them with thoughtful gifts and chocolate chip cookies. Everyone in her care was special in her eyes. She was an animal lover and offered shelter to many dogs and cats over the years. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her children, Natalie, David and Amanda; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Camryn, Morgan and Ty; sister, Paula; mother, Shirley; and partner in life, Ron MacRae. She was preceded in death by her father, David. Memorials in Shauna's name can be made to Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter. Services will be held Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Dahl Funeral Chapel.
