Shanen Oak Eyman passed away June 22, 2013. He was born March 1, 1981 in Missoula. He was the son of James N. Bird and Gay Eyman and was adopted by William Eyman. Shanen was raised in Bozeman and attended Bozeman Public Schools. He worked at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital in the Central Processing Department. Shanen served our country as part of the United States Army Infantry in Iraq and Afghanistan. He will be remembered as an artistic adventurer because he enjoyed painting, sketching, carving, biking, running and cooking. Shanen was preceded in death by his grandfather Philip Martin Griffith. He is survived by: his parents William and Gay Eyman of Helena; brothers Salem Eyman of Elko, NV and Jules (Rachel) Eyman of Bozeman, MT; sisters Signe (Mike) Valente of Portland, OR and Kendra Eyman of Minneapolis, MN; nephew Jameson; and niece Eveah. A celebration of Shanen’s life, a deeply loved son, brother, grandson, uncle and friend, will be held at 4:00pm on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at the Eyman Ranch in Livingston.
