Sanford Jackson Robertson, Jr.

Sanford "Sandy" Robertson, 66, of Bozeman passed away on October 13th, 2023, after a seven year fight with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

Sandy was born November 5th, 1956, in Lancaster, CA. Growing up in Palmdale, CA, he learned to ride dirt bikes at a very young age and never stopped. As a teenager, he joined the Lost Coyotes racing team, racing desert races every weekend. In 1973; he placed 2nd in his class when he competed in the Barstow to Vegas race.

In 1974 he went to work at the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier. He transferred to Bozeman in 2002 and continued to work as a mail carrier up until his retirement in 2012.

Sandy's favorite past-times were racing and riding dirt bikes, skiing, camping, hunting and going to concerts with his wife. Sandy was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. He cherished spending time with his family and friends and often had them over to grill steaks on the barbeque.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Pearl; his sister, Carol; his sister-in-law, Linda and his nephew, Bruce. Sandy is survived by his wife, Kim; his son, Tyler; his daughter, Hailey; his brother, Terry; his sisters, Cheri (Joe) and Rena (Scott); his nieces, Julie, Janice, Jill and Robyn; his nephews, Ben, Justin and Jason.
