Sandra (Bourgeois) Cooper went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday March 24, 2018 at 10:55 p.m. Sandy was born April 17, 1945 in Merrifield, Minnesota to Victor and June Bourgeois. The family moved to Livingston where Sandy attended school and later they moved to Helena where she continued her education. Sandy was married in 1962 and to that union she had two children, Curt and Renee Humphrey.
Sandy and Stuart Cooper were married May 28, 1976 at their home in Manhattan. Sandy worked various jobs including office work, working in the potatoes, lawn work for many elderly people who needed her services and outside working for Stuart in the city parks as well as answering the phone for him on city business when he wasn’t available. She loved working outside landscaping and working with animal sculptures. Sandy was an avid member of AA and she was very proud of her 27 years of sobriety. Sandy was always available for serving at the Three Forks Bible Church where she and Stuart were attending members. She loved the church and the fellowship she found there. Attending Bible study with Mary, Gloria and Diane was something she looked forward to every week. Stuart and Sandy shared their love for their boxer dogs that will also miss her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Joan Parr and sister-in-law Carol (Jim) Sutton of Bozeman. She is survived by Stuart her loving husband of 42 years; her sisters: Carol McKean, Bozeman; Karen Archibald, Seeley Lake; her two children: Curt (Carol) Humphrey, Utah; Renee (Timothy) Brodbeck, Lubbock, Texas; three grandchildren, sister-in-law, Barbara (Terry) McLaughlin, and numerous nieces and nephews.
