Sage Lee Williams

My son Sage Williams took his own life on February 14, 2022. The grief and sorrow I and those who knew him feel is indescribable. My heart breaks to write this, but through my pain I want us to remember Sage for the beautiful, brilliant, kind, and loving person he was.

Sage loved backpacking in the mountains, fishing, snowboarding, and playing video games. He was independent, hardworking, thoughtful, and always game for trying new things.

Depression is an insidious disease that has taken too many loved ones from us too soon. I know Sage has found peace in the love of the creator.

Sage is survived by his father and stepmother, Chris Williams and Kelly Walunis of Bozeman, MT; his mother, Kellie Esslinger of Cincinnati, OH; and his siblings, Courtney, Danny, and Logan of Ohio, and Ruby Walunis of Bozeman, MT.

We will celebrate Sage's life this summer in the mountains of Montana.
