Ruby May Crawford, age 94, of Bozeman, MT passed away Dec. 17, 2016 in the presence of her loving family. Ruby was born in Cheyenne, WY on February 9th, 1922 to parents George and Cora Frazier. Ruby and her siblings were raised together on their homestead ranch near Saratoga, WY. After attending two years of high school, Ruby was married to James H. Crawford at the age of 17. Together the couple raised two beautiful children, Evelyn and James. Ruby spent her career working as a Nursing Home Caregiver as well as a Nurse’s Aide at St. Patrick’s Hospital in Missoula. Ruby eventually settled in Bozeman, MT where she was an active volunteer with the Bozeman Senior Center where she earned the Volunteer of the Year award.
In addition to volunteering her time and talents, Ruby enjoyed sewing and yard work. She will be remembered for always having the nicest yard in the neighborhood.
Ruby was preceded in death by her husband James H. Crawford, brother Floyd Frazier, brother Roy Frazier, sister Thelma, and grandson Craig Fabricius. She is survived by her daughter Evelyn (Ed) Fabricius of Bozeman, MT; son James W. Crawford of Saratoga, WY; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service for Ruby will be held on Jan 4th, 10:30 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Bozeman, MT.
