Roxanne (McLaughlin) White, 45, of West Yellowstone passed away after a courageous but short battle with cancer on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017.
Roxy was born in Ennis, Montana, on Feb. 18, 1972, to John and Kathy (Hermanson) McLaughlin. Roxy grew up in West Yellowstone and graduated from school there in 1990. She owned and operated a gift shop in West Yellowstone until she went to cosmetology school in 2000. Roxy met her love John White and they married on Aug. 30, 2014.
Roxy was involved in all things West Yellowstone--Wolverine sports and clubs in school, church youth groups, Yellowstone Foundation, craft fairs and farmers market in Big Sky. She loved to crochet and garden and cheering on her Packers. Roxy loved to travel but especially her trips to Wisconsin to visit her nephews whom she adored. Roxy loved meeting new people and was always one to make the new comers to town feel welcome which resulted in countless friendships that remained to this day over distances near and far.
Roxy is survived by her husband, John of West Yellowstone, her parents John and Kathy McLaughlin of West Yellowstone, her brother Robin (Julie) McLaughlin and nephews Matthew and Dillon of Elk Mound, Wisconsin, her cousin Kelly (Matt) Burden and son Tristen of West Yellowstone, who grew up with her as her sister and cared for her with endless love in her final days, many aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, friends, and the “Washburn Crew”.
Roxy was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Herman and Lois (Sundby) Hermanson, paternal grandparents Clarence and Elizabeth (Krug) McLaughlin, aunt Lonita Kuper, and cousin Corey Marsh.
Memorial service will be held at Community Protestant Church Monday, Oct. 2 at 1 p.m.
