Roberta Alfred Stevens passed away on January 20, 2018 after a short illness, she was born March 31, 1931 in Lewistown, MT to Robert and Florence Alfred. Roberta grew up on a ranch north of Two Dot.
On June 11, 1953 she married Melzer “Bud” Stevens, they had 3 children Therese, Marianne, and Robert, the couple later divorced.
Roberta lived in the Two Dot/Harlowton area most of her life. August 31, 1978 her greatest joy was born, her grandson Ryan Patrick Stevens. In 1991 Marianne and Ryan moved to Bozeman, in 1998 Roberta moved to Bozeman to be closer to her daughter and grandson.
Roberta never met a stranger, she was known to walk everywhere in Bozeman, she made many friends on the way. When she was not walking, she was enjoying the Streamline Bus, she was the 1,000,000 rider and was recognized in the paper. Roberta was a life member of the Harlowton Moose Lodge, the Harlowton Legion Auxiliary, and had been a past member of the lady Elks of Bozeman.
Roberta was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Therese.
Survivors include daughter Marianne (Ken) Marty of Bozeman; grandson Ryan Stevens of Lynnwood, WA, and her son Robert Stevens.
A celebration of Roberta’s life will be held from 2 to 4 pm, on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the Dahl Funeral & Cremation Service Tribute Center.
