Robert William Woody passed away August 24, 2014 at his home in Bozeman, Montana after many years of chronic pain due to degenerative arthritis, and an ultimate diagnosis of lung cancer. He was 61. He was born on the Fourth of July, 1953 in Salt Lake City to Don and Wanda (Milano) Woody of Bountiful, Utah. Bob spent his early years in Bountiful, where he made many friends, and developed a lifelong love of the outdoors, especially fishing and camping. Before he became ill, Bob worked in car sales, a good match for his interest in all things motorized, and where his wit, big smile and kind eyes all helped him succeed. Later he took on various jobs in the oilfield sector in Utah and Wyoming. He was an avid football fan and watched all the NFL games, but he rooted most for his favorite team, the Indianapolis Colts. His home in Bozeman became NFL and Superbowl central the past few years as friends joined him to watch. Bob suffered a great deal in his last years, yet he never complained. He never lost his sense of humor. He welcomed friends positively and gratefully, and loved a great joke; he laughed even when his health was uncertain. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his brother John David Woody, and his faithful canine companion Towser. He is survived by and was lovingly cared for in his final days by his brother Richard Don Woody. Bob’s other survivors include his aunt Natiline (Milano) Braccus, uncle Lee Milano and cousins Gene Braccus and Brent Braccus and many extended family members in Utah. He has asked that here be no funeral and he didn’t have any particular favorite charity. Instead, if you knew him, give him a moment in your thoughts and perhaps give a little to your favorite charity. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.dahlcares.com
