Robert William Baker passed away March 13, 2014. He was born September 10, 1933 in Boston, MA. His parents were Sewell and Matilda (LeScarbeau) Baker. He grew up in Watertown, MA and after graduating high school he attended Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and Azuza Pacific College where he earned a Master of Arts degree. He married Marlene Carol Peck on June 9, 1956. Robert was a pastor from 1955-2001 and at one time was the Bible Department Head at Maranatha High School in Pasadena, CA. He was also a Judo instructor (6th Dan), national competitor and referee. He enjoyed reading, history, athletics, hunting, fly fishing and biking, but most of all loved Christ and other people. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and brother Wesley Baker. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Baker of Three Forks, MT; son Tom (Mary) Baker of Charlottetown, PEI, Canada; son Jon (Sarah) Baker of Bozeman, MT; son Tim (Kathy) Baker of Heber, UT; son Mark (Elaine) Baker of San Dimos, CA; daughter Kristin (Kory) Pinard of Littleton, NH; 11 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren plus 2 more great-grandbabies on the way. In lieu of flowers (Marlene is allergic), memorials may be made in Robert’s name to Trinity Church, 4720 Classical Way, Bozeman, MT 59718.
