Robert Lee “Fast Freddy” Fredericks, 71, of Bozeman, passed away October 24, 2012. He was born September 22, 1941 in Laurel, MT to Richard and Margaret Fredericks. He graduated from Laurel High School and then attended Montana State University. Bob served our country in the United States Army, following his honorable discharge, he moved back to Bozeman. He married Gene Barsness, they had four daughters together, and they owned Gallatin Trenching and Irrigation. The couple later divorced. He met Tammy Peterson in 1987, the couple married on July 26, 1997 at the Gallatin Gateway. Together they owned and operated F & G construction. He retired in 2001, due to physical disabilities. Bob like to hunt and fish, his families fondly remembers him as an entertaining story teller with a great sense of humor, he was such a tease and had unique nicknames for his family. Friends often remarked about his charismatic personality and positive energy. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers Richard and Jerry; and sister Dollie. Survivors include wife Tammy “Tazmania” “Tazzy” Fredericks; four daughters Kim “Bomber”(Kraig Kuntz) son and daughter Canyon and Kiah Hohenstein, Kecia “Lil Sis” (Steven Johnston) Fredericks having daughters Baille, Jordann and Kylee all of Belgrade, MT, Tahnee “Mitzer Bug” (Derek) Hartman having sons, Burr, Bruin, and Bridger of Boise, ID, Shauna “Tinker bell” (Jim) Knutson having daughter Maylin, of Kirkland, WA; 3 stepchildren Dawn (Blake) Nahf of Beach Park, IL having three sons Blake (Lyndsay and their children Cameron, Caden, and Cashton)Pleasant Prarrie, WI, Cody and Justin Nahf of Beach Park, Craig (Robin) Hayes of Louisville, CO, and Jason Hayes of Niwot, CO. A celebration of Bob’s life will be held Friday November 23rd at 2:00PM at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be made in his name to Tammy Fredericks.
