Robert D. Neville

Robert #8220;Bob#8221; Neville, 80, surrendered his battle, Sunday August 19, 2007 at his home in Bozeman. Bob was born August 15, 1927 in Ventura, California the second and youngest son of Jack and Mae Neville. Bob graduated in 1945 from Ventura High School, and then started and almost 50 year career as the BEST Cadillac mechanic around! The first 24 years at the local Cadillac dealership, then the next 22 years as owner of #8220;Neville#8217;s Auto Repair#8221;. During those years, Bob married his #8220;better half#8221; Josie (Foxen) in 1949, and raised three children with the most love and laughter possible. Bob also served in the US Army during the Korean War, as head of the motor pool, repairing tanks, trucks and jeeps. As health problems began to take their toll, Bob and Josie moved to Bozeman in 1998 with their daughter and son-in-law. Bob truly loved being a Montanan. He was proud to call Bozeman home, and when health permitted, he even loved shoveling snow! We miss ya, Dad! #8220;It broke our hearts to lose you; you did not go alone; for part of us went with you, the day God called you home.#8221; (Author unknown) Bob was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 53 years, Josie, infant grandson, Mikey, and infant great granddaughter, Sami. He is survived by his brother James (Nancy) Neville of Ventura, CA; daughter and son-in-law Katie and Dennis Sines of Bozeman, MT, daughters Jay Neville, and Janny (Benton) Ousley of Ventura, CA; 13 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at a later date in Ventura, California.
