Robert “Bob” Paul Fedelchak passed away on November 23, 2020 at the age of 78. He was the beloved husband of Susan “Sue” for 53 years, father of Corrina of Bozeman, Montana and two grandchildren Colter and Shelby Russell, son Tyler, USMC, and his wife Mary.
As a geology major at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Bob picked up on the lifestyle of a rockhound and together with his wife Sue they collected minerals from the Mexican border all the way up to the Arctic Circle.
Bob’s working career included geological exploration and rocket science.
Retiring at the age of 55, and when Sue was 50, they moved to Durango, Colorado, where they lived for eight years volunteering at Durango Mountain Resort with their only job being to ski with the guests and keep them from getting hurt or lost.
Bob and Sue have spent the years since leaving Durango traveling back and forth between kids and grandkids and adding vacations.
When asked what she remembered about grandpa his 11 year old granddaughter Shelby gave a list of things: He was tall, he had blue eyes, he had blond hair, he was funny, he loved rocks and he gave kisses and hugs.
