Robert B Vitt Jr, 63, of Manhattan passed away on March 25, and is with his Lord and Savior. Services will be on Saturday, March 29, at 10:00 am at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Belgrade (609 Quaw Blvd.), with a reception afterwards at the Vitt residence. His ashes will be buried in Missoula at a later date. Bob was born in Missoula, Montana. He was born to Robert B. Vitt Sr. and Helen Marie Vitt. He attended schools in Missoula and graduated from Hellgate High School. After high school he joined the Montana National Guard. He married his high school sweetheart, Marty Ann Turner. They had been happily married for forty two years and had two wonderful children, Michael and Chauntelle. His career was in the tire industry where he was a salesman for thirty five years. After retirement his hobbies included woodworking and leatherwork which he truly loved. He also loved the outdoors which included fishing, hunting, three wheeler riding, and most of all, snowmobiling. He loved spending time with his family up at Flathead Lake boating, skiing and playing horseshoes. Besides his wife, his most faithful companion was his golden retriever, Shawnee. Robert was preceded in death by his parents Bob and Helen Vitt. He is survived by his wife Marty Ann Vitt, his son Michael (Tylene) Vitt and daughter Chauntelle (Joe) Rock; grandchildren Trystin, Thayre, Taydon, and Taighsley Vitt; Kassidie and Kale Rock. His surviving siblings include Diane Schramm of San Diego, CA and Patti Matthews of Helena, MT, and many beloved nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brother-in-law’s Don (Susan) Turner of Cave Creek, AZ, Robert Turner of Phoenix, AZ and sister-in-law Pat Turner of Polson, MT and many dear friends.
