Richard Lee Sherman, 38, of Bozeman, passed away on February 1, 2025. He was born on March 6, 1986, in Sandpoint, Idaho, to Timothy and Shelly Sherman.
Richard learned to ski at Schweitzer and later transitioned to snowboarding as it gained popularity. Richard was a dedicated athlete throughout his school years, playing basketball, soccer, and football. He had a deep love for hunting and the great outdoors.
Richard moved to Bozeman, Montana from Seattle, Washington in early adulthood, where he met and fell in love with Heather Ghiorzo in March 2007. Together, they proceeded to build a life together, and welcomed three wonderful children, Royce, Kadynce, and Sylas.
As the owner of Land Shark Roofing, Richard built a successful business known for its unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction, earning a stellar reputation across the state of Montana. He was also a gifted artist and musician, leaving behind a legacy of creativity and passion that touched many lives. His musical label, Raised Broke Entertainment, included contributions to projects like Green Thumb Project, Rick Rollin, and most recently, NoPhilter.
Richard was predeceased by his grandfather, Fredrick Sherman, and his grandmother, Jeannie Sherman (Merriweather). He is survived by his parents, Timothy and Shelly, his love, Heather, and their three children, Royce, Kadynce, and Sylas.
