Richard Pierce

September 14, 1960 — February 28, 2017

Richard W. Pierce, 56 passed away quietly on Feb. 28, 2017 in Bozeman, MT. He was born in Ennis, MT to Arthur R. (Buster) and Vivian J. Pierce in Ennis on Sept. 14, 1960.



Richard attended Ophir School & Bozeman Senior High School. His marriage to Pamela L. Kober ended in divorce. Later he met his life partner Moe A. Bradshaw in October 2015 in Shepherd, MT. He moved to Worden, MT in July 2017 where he resided until he fell very ill and was admitted to St. Vincents Hospital in Billings, MT on Feb. 1, 2017.



Richard had many talents and especially enjoyed rebuilding old vehicles and remodeling houses. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and many other outdoor activities with family & friends. Richard was enlisted in the Army and when discharged, drove trucks for a local trucking firm, worked road construction, was a custodian at Bozeman Public Schools, installed garage doors for Kaufmann's Overhead Door Company and was employed by the Billings Bench Water Assn.



Survivors include his daughters Nichole (Casey) Kegel and Cristin (Matt Sorrells) Pierce; grandchildren Kolter Kegel, Delaney and Slyvie Sorrells. He is also survived by his mother, Vivian Pierce of Shepherd MT and sister, Sherry Main of Bozeman, MT; as well as a nephew Justin (Krista) Pierce of Colorado, niece Lyla (Zachary) Knick of Texas. Mother and Father in-Laws Ed and Toni Kober.



Richard was preceded in death by his father, Arthur (Buster) Pierce, brother, Anthony (Tony) Pierce and sister, Marilyn Pierce. His Grandmothers- in-law Ed and Dorothy Figgins-Kober, and Althea Springer.



The family would like to thank the Mountain View Healthcare staff for their loving care. Thank you to his special friends, Dave and Lynn Jenson, Courtney Huff, Allen Workman, Vernon Clark and Joy and Eddie Cunningham. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, March 13th at the Elks Lodge, located just east of Dahl Funeral Chapel.
