Patrick Ralph Woodring passed away February 15, 2012, from a heart attack. He was born January 6, 1950 in Livingston, MT, to Ralph and Alma (Remily) Woodring. Pat was raised and educated in Livingston, MT and Redfield, SD. He graduated from Montana State University in 1972 with a degree in Ag Business. After graduating MSU, Pat went to work for Prairie Breeders in Billings. While there, he met his first wife, Linda Hickson. After marrying, the couple moved to Livingston where Pat worked at Strong and Bradley and then to Manhattan when Pat accepted a position at Gallatin Equipment in Belgrade. Together they had four children, and the couple later divorced. It was at Gallatin Equipment that Pat met his second wife, Terri. It took him four months to ask her out, but took the couple only 3 ½ weeks to become engaged. They married on July 18, 1998. They were such a perfect match for one another they became known as “Pat & Terri,” a single unit. In 2000, Pat and Terri purchased Monarch Insulation, which they ran together for the next 12 years. He was looking forward to retiring from all his hard work. Pat was a kind and gentle man, always thoughtful and supportive. People could ask him for anything, and he would do whatever he could to help them out. Pat adored his grandchildren. Nothing was more important to him. He never missed sporting events, school performances or anything else where they were participating. All of them looked at him as the epitome of a role model. Pat was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Valley of Flowers Catholic Church in Belgrade and the Cursillo Community. He enjoyed camping, hunting, boating and anything else outdoors. Pat was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Clint and his nephew, James Patrick. Pat is survived by his wife, Terri; children Michelle (Kurt) Woodring of Gettysburg, SD, Patricia (Jerry) Arneson of Belgrade, Shawnna (Morgan) Taylor of Manhattan and Chad (Jess) Woodring of Belgrade; stepchildren TC (Wendy) Antonsen of Belgrade and Tom (Dianna) Antonsen of Helena; brothers Arnold (Lorraine) Woodring of Townsend, Marvin (Linda) Woodring of San Diego, John (Anna) Woodring of Redfield, SD; Bob (Vonnie) Woodring of Athol, SD; and sister-in-law Donna (Clint) Woodring of Redfield, SD; 15 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
