Patricia Thomas

Patricia J. Thomas, 80, of Bozeman passed away Monday, April 11, 2011. Patricia was born November 23, 2930 in Butte, Montana to Ralph and Josephine (Holte) Evans. She was born and raised in Butte and on June 14, 1953, she married William H. Thomas at the Mountain View Methodist Church in Butte. Together, they raised three children, Sally, Ralph, and Paul. Patricia worked as a teacher in Bellevue and Redmond, Washington before the family made their home at the Lazy T Ranch in Bozeman. She was active in Daughters of the American Revolution, Job#8217;s Daughters, and Newcomers. She was also an alumnus of Tri Delta. Patricia was particularly interested in genealogy and spent many hours recording her family history. Patricia was preceded in death by her son, Paul E. Thomas. Survivors include her husband, Bill; daughter, Sally Jo (William G.) Kaufman and grandsons, Kiefer P. Kaufman and Kelby J. Kaufman of Gypsum, CO; son, Ralph B. (Terri A.) Thomas of Genoa, NV; grandson, Charles P. (Valerie) Thomas of Roseville, CA; and great-grandson, Parker E. Thomas of Roseville, CA. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at Dahl Funeral Chapel at 1:45 pm to process to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the Bozeman Deaconess Cancer Center, 931 Highland Blvd #3130, Bozeman, MT 59715.
