Ordean Theron Wangrud, our sweet husband, brother, daddy, grandfather and friend passed away on March 8, 2010. Ordean was born June 28, 1935 to Lena and Al Wangrud in Scobey, MT where he grew up playing sports with his older brother Larry and younger brother Ron. After attending college in Minot, ND, he returned to Scobey where he met and fell in love with Jean Uden, a school teacher from ND. They were married in Mandan, ND in 1957. The first of two daughters, Dawn, was born in Plentywood. They moved to Billings where Ordean took business classes and speech therapy at Rocky Mtn. College due to his severe hearing loss. Daughter Miriam was born in Billings. The family moved back to Scobey and Ordean worked for Nemont before moving to Eureka, MT in 1964. Jean taught school and Ordean worked for Lincoln Electric/Interbell for 29 years. After retirement, the two became snowbirds in Mesa, AZ for 10 winters. A move to Bozeman brought the opportunity to share in the daily lives of their daughters and four grandchildren. Ordean was very proud of his two daughters and grandchildren and his smile showed his happiness while enjoying his family. While Ordean suffered from a variety of health problems, he was always upbeat and never complained. A kind, gentle and loving man, Ordean had a great passion for sports. He enjoyed playing and watching golf, basketball, baseball and bowling. Ordean had special memories of the Scobey Plainsman baseball team where he was a standout player. Ordean and Jean could be seen attending many sporting events around Bozeman the last 5 years. Ordean was preceded in death by parents Al and Lena. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Jean Wangrud of Bozeman; daughters Dawn White (Rob), Miriam (Jim) Tilleman of Bozeman; brothers Larry (Donna) Wangrud of Phoenix and Ron (Debra) Wangrud of W.
