Norma Irene Blossom, 84, of Bozeman, passed suddenly on October 17th, 2023, from a heart issue. She was born Norma Irene Baehler, in Wallace County Kansas on September 30th, 1939.
Norma was the third of nine children, born to the late Everett and Helen Baehler. She grew up going to school in a one-room rural schoolhouse on the Kansas Prairie and later graduated from Wallace County High School in 1957. Soon after graduating she moved to Denver, Colorado to attend secretarial school. While there she went to a U.S.O. dance, where she met and soon afterward married her husband, Roger E. Blossom, from Montana in 1960. They then moved to Montana and lived in various towns and raised a family as Roger's highway department job moved them around the state.
Norma was multi-talented and had many interests. She liked bowling, archery and fishing in her younger years and was a talented seamstress and an expert in her kitchen. She also enjoyed antiquing, rockhounding, bird watching and gardening just to name a few. She had multiple items she collected and was always on the hunt to add to them. Her owl collection being one of her favorites.
There will be a celebration of life this coming spring when her flowers are blooming. As per her request, she will be cremated, and her ashes will be placed around her flower gardens and koi pond at that time.
Norma was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great grandmother, Sister and Friend. She was the heart and soul of her family and will be sorely missed and never forgotten by all who knew her. Our world will certainly be a lesser place without her!
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Helen Baehler; infant brother, Everett Eugene Baehler and brother, Gary Lee Baehler.
She is survived by her husband, Roger E. Blossom; son, Roger C. Blossom and daughter, Tabrina D. Blossom; grandchildren, Stephen Blossom, Jeffrey Blossom and Cynthia Blossom; great-grandchildren, Alethea Blossom and Corbin Hove and sisters, Gladys Sunderland, Janet Droste, Judy Kazmaier, Carol McGuire, Vickie Kyner and Deanna Bussen.
