Norma Ann (Johnson) Stewart died peacefully on December 9, 2013 after years of battling brain cancer in Bozeman, Montana surrounded by friends and family. Norma was born April 5, 1955 in Winnett, Montana to James and Ramona Johnson. She moved to Lewistown in 1970. On November 30, 1974,Norma married her husband Steven Stewart of 38 years and shortly thereafter moved to Bozeman. Norma worked for J.C. Billion for a few years before devoting her time to raising her two daughters, Jamie and Tonya. Later, she enjoyed various bookkeeping jobs around the Gallatin Valley. Norma enjoyed sewing and would spend hours sewing clothes for her family. She loved spending the summers working in her flowers and garden. She loved music and enjoyed going to the operas and symphonies. Norma loved the sun and would enjoy traveling to the ocean particularly the Oregon Coast. While on her travels, she particularly enjoyed shopping with her close friends and family members. Other shoppers could hear the giggles throughout the store. Norma is survived by: daughters Jamie (Austin) Norton of Boise Idaho and Tonya (Bryan) Duffy of Billings; grandson Roman Duffy of Billings; brothers Jack Johnson of Bozeman , Doug (Debbie) Johnson of Gallatin Gateway, Tim Johnson of Belgrade and Mark Johnson of Clarkston Washington; sisters Mary (John) Edwards of Belgrade and Sally (Clint) Dahlhausen of Moccasin; and her many nephews and nieces. Norma was preceded in death by her parents and husband. A gathering of friends and families will be held at the Holiday Inn Express (309 W. Madison Ave., Belgrade, MT) on Saturday, December 14, 2013 from 1-5 pm.
