Nancy Valita Nielsen was born April 13, 1933 in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Johannes and Edith Nielsen. She adored her older siblings, Helanejo and Niels Cecil, spending her childhood years in Nebraska and California. It was in Bakersfield that Nancy started attending the Seventh-day Adventist church with her Mother and siblings. She gave her heart to Jesus and was baptized.
Nancy graduated from Loma Linda University School of Nursing in 1956. A favorite Nursing classmate, Minnie Dale, introduced Nancy to her brother from Montana, Charles Clayton Page. On June 2, 1957, almost 60 years ago, Charles and Nancy were married in Bakersfield, California.
After their wedding, Charles brought Nancy to the Bozeman Hot Springs in Bozeman, Montana. Together they built the business from Hot Spring pools to a KOA Campground. For 40 years Nancy co-managed and supported Charles and enjoyed raising their 3 children. She was very involved in their lives, schools, and friendships. The relationship she established with her children has spilled over to her grandchildren. Their activities, accomplishments, and international travels captivated her interest and care.
Nancy loved her Bozeman Seventh-day Adventist Church. She was the church clerk for many years, cradle role and kindergarten teacher and remembers placing the panels in the basement ceiling with Ferna Surdahl. Nancy had a constant, steady interest in missions, loving mission stories and books.
Nancy lived valiantly with Parkinson's Disease for the last 15 years of her life. She died peacefully in her sleep, May 8, 2017, in her home, with the geese, ducks, and pelicans on her pond creating "white noise" in the background.
Nancy is the beloved wife of Charles Clayton Page. She is the loving mother of Pamelyn (Page) Wahl, Linda (Page) Glatts, and Ronald Charles Page. She is the valued mother-in-law to Brian Wahl and Tom Glatts, and Mavis Page. Nancy is the cherished grandma of Nathanael and Shantel Wahl, Joshua and Jayci Wahl, Derek Glatts, Paul Glatts, Elissa Page, Katelyn Page, and Marian Page. Nancy will be faithfully and fondly remembered by her surviving sister, Helanejo Nielsen Sheline, many nieces, nephews, cousins and her Bozeman Seventh-day Adventist Church family. Nancy's favorite topic of conversation was Jesus. We look forward to seeing her again at Jesus' second coming.
