On November 27, 2017 our family suffered a heartbreaking loss. After a short and unexpected illness and hospitalization, Shellie Meagher passed away at home, in the arms of her husband, parents, sister and beloved dogs.
Michelle (Shellie) Lynn Kimzey Meagher was born on March 6, 1967 in Seattle, WA. She graduated from Walla Walla (WA) High School in 1985 and studied mechanical engineering at Washington State University and the University of Washington, where she was a member of Alpha Phi sorority.
She married Ken (Brandy) Meagher in Walla Walla on August 5, 1995 and they enjoyed 22 adventurous years together, making their home in Bozeman as well as Amsterdam, the Netherlands and Sydney, Australia. Together they adopted and loved rescue dogs, traveled the world and showered their niece and nephews with endless aunt and uncle love.
Shellie had a successful 18-year career in the field of enterprise software and cloud solutions, working in strategic sales, business development and account management. She was well respected, with a reputation as a motivated collaborator dedicated to both her company and clients. She was an early employee of Bozeman’s Right Now Technologies, where she was an Account Executive and Director of Enterprise Global Accounts. After five years working internationally, she returned to Bozeman. At the time of her death, Shellie was a Strategic CX Sales Executive at Oracle, where she will be missed by many colleagues, clients and friends.
Shellie was a close and loving friend to so many, with the most open and generous heart. We will miss her smile, her hugs, her upbeat spirit and life loving exuberance. We were blessed and fortunate to be her family.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ken (Brandy) Meagher of Bozeman, her mother and stepfather, Cherie and Lew Colon of Palm Desert, CA, her sister Jaime Kimzey of Boulder, CO, her mother-in-law Judy Meagher (Michael Mack) of Bozeman and Green Valley, AZ, her sister-in-law Marcy Meagher (James Bevan), niece Paige Reed and nephews, Ryan Reed and Christian Bevan, all of Palo Alto, CA, her brother-in-law Lou Antoine (Collette) of Whitefish and numerous cousins.
Our family sincerely thanks all of you for your support, calls, cards and love. We have faith that Shellie is in the arms of her Lord and her adoring dads, her father Jim Kimzey and father-in-law Mike Meagher.
