Mary Ann Moyer, 91, of Bozeman passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2008. She was born on February 12, 1917 to Joseph and Lola (Gabhert) Houston in Hutchinson, Kansas. Mary Ann married Cecil Si Moyer on May 16, 1934 in Hutchinson. They had one daughter, Shirley. Together, the couple lived in Half Moon Bay, California for 40 years. Ann had been in Bozeman, Montana for nine years. She drove an ambulance for the Red Cross in Denver, Colorado during World War II. Later, she enjoyed her work as a real estate agent. She was very passionate about the Lions Club, where Cecil had been a Narcotics Officer for Lions International and District Governor of 4C4. She also loved reading, embroidery, and her dog, Simone. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Cecil, and siblings Louise Burdick and Elmer Houston. Survivors include one daughter, Shirley (Donald) Bennett of Bozeman, MT; two grandsons in the United States Marine Corps, Master Sergeant Walter Eugene (Darcy) Bennett of Churchill, MT, and Master Gunnery Sergeant Joe (Kathie) Bennett of Camp Pendleton, CA; and great-grandchildren Jon, Sam, and Anica of Churchill, as well as Niki and Jason of Camp Pendleton, CA. Services will be held at Sky Lawn Cemetery in San Mateo, California.
