Madeline Lovas

November 3, 1914 — August 22, 2016

Elena Madeline Lovas (Santacroce) gently passed to meet her savior Jesus Christ on morning of August 22, 2016. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1914, she is predeceased by her parents Constantine and Edvige Santacroce, by her brothers Joseph (Pep) and David (Dolly), by her sisters Margaret, Mary and Constance and by her husband Joseph John Lovas. She is survived by her sons Joseph Lovas and Paul Lovas, five grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

A full life intact with recollections on most every moment, she had the privilege meeting a modern day saint, Saint Pope John Paul II, on a pilgrimage to Rome. After her husband passed in1977, she donated her time and talents to St. Luke's Catholic Church. Visits with her were nearly always memorable and no one was left unscathed. Living, somewhere between a contemplative and a reactionary life, she was a plinth to our family. And live she did.
