Lyne Kojac

August 24, 1947 — October 25, 2017

Lyne Kojac, 70, wife of Stanley Kojac, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Edgewood Vista in Belgrade. Lyne left her birthplace of Fall River, MA, and parents, Alfred and Lilian Botelho (both deceased) to become a nurse, wife, mother, widow and wife again. She and her first husband, Roger Taillefer, raised five children in more locations than those children can recall, before he died in 1999 after a short battle with cancer. Having remarried in 2007, Lyne and Stanley eventually settled in Three Forks, MT.

Lyne was best known for her love of animals and her lovely singing voice. She was a volunteer at many animal shelters throughout her lifetime and housed many unwanted animals either temporarily or permanently. Her second passion was music. During her fight against Alzheimer’s, Lyne continued to sing even after her speaking ability was gone. It was a delightful surprise every time she reconnected with someone through music.

Other survivors include her five children, Scott Taillefer and Heidi Miller of Belgrade, MT; Wendi Straub and Neil Stewart of Idaho Falls, ID; and Julie Stone of Athol, ID; her twelve grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two sisters.

A celebration of Lyne’s life will be held at Heidi Miller’s home at 121 Keystone Drive, Belgrade on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 1 pm. Memorial donations may be made to Lyne’s favorite cause: Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter (www.heartofthevalleyshelter.org).
