Louise Lyon

Marie Louise Lyon, 85, went to be with the Lord on October 31, 2010. She was born on November 18, 1924 in Boise, Idaho to Domingo and Benedicta Abarrategui. She married the love of her life and soul mate, James Levi Lyon, on September 13, 1958 in Couer d#8217;Alene, Idaho and they settled in Kalispell, MT where they started their family together. While in Kalispell, Louise was a bookkeeper and professional seamstress. In 1971, the family moved to Missoula before settling in Bozeman in 1973 where she was an independent contractor for the Bozeman Daily Chronicle for over 20 years. Louise was very artistic and loved to both develop and teach her gifts in the mediums of porcelain art, water color, and oil painting. Louise also enjoyed league bowling, the outdoors, animals and birds. Louise was a longtime member and Eucharistic minister at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She also loved the beautiful Montana mountains as well as the ocean coast and seashells, and looked upon them as artistic works of our heavenly Father. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, husband James, infant son Robert, and brother, Raymon Abarrategui. Survivors include three sisters, Angelus White of Hampton, NH, Conchita Naylor of Oceanside, CA, and Sabena Emerson of Boise, ID; two daughters, Marsalee (Daniel) Gonzales of El Paso, TX and Cecile (Kraig) Bercier of Bozeman, MT; one son, James (Kathleen) Lyon of Orlando, FL; six grandchildren, Daniel Gonzales, Jr., Michael Gonzales, Angela Vargas, Jose Gonzales, Paul Bercier, and Donata Bercier; and two great-grandchildren, Jacob Vargas and Jayden Vargas. Should friends desire, memorials in Louise#8217;s name may be made to Rocky Mountain Hospice, 301 Edelweiss Dr #5, Bozeman, MT 59718. A visitation will be held at 4:30 pm on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 with a Rosary at 5:30 pm and a Vigil following at 6:00 pm, all at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at the Bozeman Catholic Community Center, with interment to follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery.
