Linda Hall

August 10, 1951 — October 4, 2011

Linda Lee Hall passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She was born August 10, 1951 in Nyssa, Oregon to Paul and Janice (Osborne) Herring. Linda was raised in Pasco, Washington and attended Pasco High School. She was a very hard worker and often times held down as many as three jobs to help raise her children. Linda later moved to Helena where she met Mark Hall. The couple married on April 3, 1982 in Coeur d#8217;Alene and moved to Bozeman in 1985. Linda#8217;s work ethic followed her to Bozeman and over the years she worked at the United States Post Office, Coast to Coast/Ben Franklin, Price Rite Drug in Belgrade, then helped open the Bozeman Wal-Mart in 1994 and continued to work there for 17 years. She moved up the ranks at Wal-Mart from the cosmetic manager to training coordinator. Linda was always a #8220;putzer#8221;, she was always busy. Whether it was building her home#8217;s yard up from scratch by herself or caring for her plants, Linda could not stop. If she wasn#8217;t #8220;putzing#8221; for herself, her greatest joy was her family and helping others. She spent a great deal of time with her grandchildren and also helped numerous co-workers grieve the deaths of family members. People loved her because they knew her compassion to help others was real. Linda also loved camping and the outdoors. Her favorite place to travel to was the Oregon coast. When diagnosed with terminal cancer, Linda was given the choice to travel to her favorite place, but instead she opted to spend more time with her family. That shows how much she loved them. Linda was an active member of the Belgrade Baptist Church. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, son Brian, and brother Jim Herring. Linda is survived by her husband Mark Hall of Belgrade; son Jay (Andrea) Gustin of West Richland, WA; daughter Connie (Mike Pedersen) Pluid of Belgrade; son Shane (Amy) Hall of Helena, sister Paulette Liddle of Kennewick, WA; grandchildren Ryan, Tanner, Breanna, Tynisha, Heather, Devon, Jordan, Julia, Taylor, and Zach; best friend Marie Delk; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 10, 2011 at 3pm at the Belgrade Baptist Church with a reception to follow.
