Lee Weldon Baker was born to Harlen E. Baker and Mabel (Cooper) Baker on December 11, 1915, in Overbrook, KS. He died in Bozeman, MT, on March 16, 2015. Lee attended Kansas State University and took numerous courses at the FBI National Academy. He served the police department in Fresno, CA, for 35 years, retiring as Deputy Chief of Police. During his retirement, he lived in Los Osos, CA, and Sonora, CA, before moving to Bozeman in 2002. He spent twelve years at Aspen Pointe, and then lived in Birchwood Assisted Living for the past year, where he was well cared for by the loving and attentive staff. During his life, Lee enjoyed photography, travel, golf, and pool. He was a member of Bozeman United Methodist Church. He is survived by son Larry Baker (Brenda) of Bozeman, MT; granddaughter Kim Hawley (Robert) of San Diego, CA; grandson Jeff Baker of Seattle, WA; and two great-grandchildren: Hayden and Lauren Hawley of San Diego, CA.
