Laverne Oliver Dahl

LaVerne Oliver Dahl, 76, of Bozeman, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015. He was born January 19, 1938 in McIntosh, SD to Oliver Melvin and Evelyn Mary (Borman) Nelson Dahl. He graduated from high school in McIntosh, SD, later attended college in Aberdeen, SD and also attended Montana State College in Bozeman. LaVerne married Helen Sayler on June 26, 1960 in Bozeman, MT. The couple had 4 children, they later divorced. LaVerne had been an accomplished carpenter in the building trade until an accident in early 1980’s left him permanently disabled. Survivors include 4 siblings Fred (Bernetta) Nelson, Maynard (Joan), Sharon (Al) Herbel and John (Sandy) Dahl; 4 children and their spouses; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 2:30 pm, Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Seventh Day Adventist Church on the corner of 15th and Main St. Burial of his urn will be at a later date in McIntosh, SD.
