Larita Lunt

November 14, 1926 — March 19, 2011

LaRita Claridge Lunt, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, returned to her Father in Heaven on March 19, 2011. LaRita was born November 14, 1926, in Thatcher, Arizona, as the oldest of six children, to Orson Claridge and Bessie Haggard. LaRita and Jack met in Duncan, Arizona, and were married March 15, 1946, in the Mesa Arizona LDS Temple. After living several years in Duncan, Arizona, they moved to Montana in 1956, where they raised six children. Nothing brought LaRita more joy than her 28 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren. LaRita was a faithful and devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and especially enjoyed serving others. She simply loved people, and was dedicated in her efforts to cheerfully lift those around her. LaRita especially enjoyed reading, and was a marvelous cook, quilter and seamstress. Above all, LaRita enjoyed spending time with her sweetheart. LaRita leaves behind her husband, Jack; and children, Robyn (Debbie), of Moberly, Missouri; Diane, of West Jordan, Utah; Carla (Mark) Steiner, of Billings, Montana; Sam (Galena), of New Castle, Indiana; and Debby (Mike) Topp, of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Additional survivors include her sisters Carol Holland, Janice Richins, and Deva Claridge. LaRita was preceded in death by her son Steven Lunt (Vivian), Del Valle, Texas. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 23, at the Belgrade LDS Church, 297 Bridger View Drive, at 2:00 p.m. Family and friends may visit at 1:00 p.m., prior to the services. Interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
