Kristi Lea Perry

December 24, 1964 — February 8, 2023

Kristi Lea Perry, 58, of Billings, MT left us far too soon on Wednesday, February 8, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday February 20th at 1:00 PM at Dahl Funeral and Cremation Service in Bozeman.

An early Christmas present, Kristi was born on December 24, 1964, in Lake Preston, SD to Stephen Lane and Cheryl Dianne (Hammer) Tupper. The family wouldn’t stay in South Dakota for long and Kristi’s family eventually settled down in Bozeman, MT where she spent most of her school years.

Kristi met the love of her life, Don Perry, while living in Bozeman and the family moved to West Yellowstone in 1994. Don and Kristi were wed on October 7, 1995 and the two would remain in West Yellowstone where Kristi would come to own and operate a cleaning business. In 2022, the two moved to Billings.

Kristi was a passionate woman who loved children. She was a favorite at her mother’s day care among the kids who attended as well as their parents. Kristi volunteered for Toys for Tots, even when her health began to decline, and was always willing to help those in need. She loved her grandkids, supported them at sporting events, encouraged their hobbies, and she greatly valued spending time with the family. She also had a passion for true crime, with an overflowing library to prove it.

She will be missed by all that knew her but especially her husband, Don Perry; children, Angela Hanks, Misty Johnson, Waco (Jocelyn) Perry, Cody Utley, and Devynn (Laurel) Gibbons; mother, Cheryl Hammer; siblings, Stephanie Tupper, Russ (Lorri) Ward, Monica (Kevin) O’Brien, Kyle (Bethany) Wieferich, Jeff Tupper; grandchildren, William, Joseph, Rosalea, Nevin, Logan, and Aurora; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws that love her.

Kristi goes on to join her grandparents, Lorraine and Melvin Hammer; uncle, Dennis Hammer; niece, Karma Tupper; cousin, Mike Hammer; aunt, Gloria Goble; and father, Stephen Lane Tupper.

Donations can be made in Kristi’s name to River Stone Health Hospice Home.
