Kirby Russell Lewis, 65, passed away April 7, 2013 from natural causes. He was born March 28, 1948 in Spencer, Iowa to Russell and Maxine (Spitzer) Lewis. He graduated from C.M. Russell High School in Great Falls, Montana where he was the 1967 AA High School Javelin State Champion. Throughout his life Kirby lived in: Spencer, Iowa; Omaha, Nebraska; Evreux, France; Pasco, Washington; Silverton, Oregon (for 32 years); and Great Falls, Montana. Kirby loved fishing, golfing, softball and college sports, especially when it involved Oregon or Montana colleges. He also enjoyed volunteering for the Special Olympics. He was a retired meatcutter. He was able to get along with anyone, mostly because he had a loveable personality. He will be remembered for being a great friend, father, and husband. Kirby was preceded in death by his father Russell Lewis. He is survived by: his wife Pam of Belgrade, MT; mother Maxine of Great Falls, MT; daughters Stacey and Bethany of Oregon, Brittany of Montana, and Amie of California; son Chad of Oregon; brothers Larry of Great Falls, MT and Dan of Knoxville, TN; sister Sue Hagel of Great Falls, MT; 9 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. A potluck gathering of family and friends will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at The Do Bar (800 3rd St. NW) in Great Falls, Montana.
