Kevin Alexander Volkening

Kevin Alexander Volkening of Bozeman, Montana passed away Friday August 30, 2013. He was born to Larry Volkening and Alice Bell on September 24, 1987. Kevin graduated from Montana State University in 2012 with a degree in Chemical and Biological Engineering. Following graduation Kevin earned his dream job at Black Diamond Equipment in Salt Lake City working for the Quality Assurance Department. Kevin was enormously passionate about living life to the fullest while exploring the great outdoors and climbing was his favorite way to do that. The tagline from his personal blog best describes Kevin’s passion for the sport “I love to climb… EVERYTHING”. Kevin is survived by his wife Marge (Coyle) Volkening, daughter of Kathi and Frank Coyle, his parents, sisters, nephew, niece, grandmother; and numerous close friends. A memorial service honoring Kevin’s life and spirit will be held Sunday, September 8th, 2013. Memorials may be made in honor of Kevin at any First Security Bank branch in Bozeman.
